Red Sands Hotel and Spa

Room was clean, basic amenities like coffee maker, TV, fridge. You can tell they have tried to make it a high class place in the desert, but the bathroom is outdated and it still feels like a regular hotel. I guess for the price I was expecting more. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the 24hr coffee in the lobby, the fire pit outside, and the hot tub. Bed was comfortable. It was great to be so close to Capitol Reef!

Hotel looks to be renovated. Beautiful views. The rooms were very clean. The thermostat in the room seemed to not sense when the room reached the desired temp so it was a constant battle on and off. The attendant on duty seemed very short and like he wanted to be anywhere else… I get it but it made us feel bad for asking a simple question. Location was wonderful, very centrally located.

Hotel and room was super clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was good and perfect for our needs. The hotel is 10 miles from Capitol Reef NP. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Stayed at Red Sands for three nights during a visit to Capitol Reef National Park. A short 15 minute drive from the park and close to local restaurants (as well as it's own onsite restaurant !) Great view from the room which was modern and clean. The shampoo/shower gel/hand soap were all in dispensers and food quality. The tap water was also surprisingly good! 24/7 coffee available in the lobby which was convenient and a nice perk! Staff were all friendly and helpful; I had to extend the stay by a night and then clerk made sure we could remain in the same room. Only downside might be that the elevator was a bit slow and shaky (but it's only a 2 floor hotel so we just took the stairs) and the parking spots were tight and limited, not well suited for the large vehicles that were commonly used in the area.

My family and I will definitely be staying here again. Perfect location to stay at when visiting Capital Reef National Park. Beautiful, clean rooms with great views. They even had a pool and hot tub with amazing views of the mountains! We appreciated the laundry machines in the hotel which requires coins to operate. They also had free hot chocolate, coffee, apples, and even had Stevia sweetener, a little detail we appreciated! The restaurant had good food. Only downside of having a patio is you have people in the room above you, ours happened to be noisy and stomped around all night. Other than that, we had a very pleasant stay and the rooms were not too expensive. Loved this hotel, we will definitely be back!

SPA REVIEW: you do not have to stay at the hotel to use the spa and we really enjoyed our experience there. We did the private soak during sunset. I love a clean spa with bonus amenities. We got some fresh herb tea and trail mix to take in with us. Arrive with extra time to use the meditation room and steam room. Very fun experience in a beautiful location. Spa robes, lockers, and slippers are provided.

A great hotel with an incredibly kind staff, comfy public spaces and great amenities. We ate at the restaurant several times and all of our meals were delicious. We would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I stayed one night at the hotel and it was a great experience. The rooms were very clean and tidy, and reception was kind and helpful. We booked two massages at the spa, Amy was our massage therapist. She did an amazing job! It was easily one of the best deep tissue massages we’ve ever had! We highly recommend the stay and booking a massage at the spa with Amy!
